Hello everybody. Writing this last entry makes me really sad and I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading this blog as much as I have enjoyed writing on it.
This experience has been very interesting. I remember that when I started studying psychology I literally had to “Jump out of the tree” in the use of technology, especially in what concerns to the use of computational tools. Writing a blog for the English subject has been one of the skills I’ve had to learn in this process.
The fun and entertaining involved in this experience have made my learning richer and practical. In fact I think that writing this blog has been the assignment where I’ve learned the most not only English but also in the use of computational tools.
Have I improved my English? I’d definitely say yes. I’ve noticed this in the fact that I have increased my vocabulary, and I finally had the courage to write in English (no mattering if this was ridiculous or not), and all of that with a lot of fun. My conclusion is that this has been an excellent way to learn English
According to the previous lines I have to say that using the blog has definitely more advantages than disadvantages. Now I will enumerate them:
Advantages:
- It is learned playfully.
- You are not under the pressure of many eyes and ears, therefore the dread is eliminated.
- You have the possibility that others check what you write, giving you the chance to improve your grammar thanks to the mistakes that your classmates see.
Disadvantages:
- There is the risk of others copying your assignments.
It’s a shame that this course is coming to its end, but I hope to see you next semester in level four, the last level of this program, with the conviction that our English has improved (in the case of the ones that had little knowledge) or perfected (for those who knew a little bit before starting the program). It has been a real pleasure sharing with you this course and I thank the teacher for her commitment with our learning process.

My Ideal Job

My ideal job even I have not clear yet, if I have to speculate, then I would say that my ideal job would be the investigation for the educational psychology, in order to improve the learning of the children, but also what should be teach in the schools and the importance given to the subjects. An important point that I would like to investigate, would be how we can elucidate the potentials of every child and be able to have a personalized education, strengthening them and making happiest children, more trusting and finding their way by themselves.

I believe that I would be good at this job, since with many of my friends who are interested this area too, we have developed study and discussion groups with regard to these topics and I think that we would be a great contribution since in these groups very good ideas are developed.

To perform this job two most important qualities are needed.
1.-To possess a critical spirit and to be able to construct new things from this.
2.-To possess a strong spirit capable of facing all the difficulties of the topic and all the fences which you will meet in the system.

Does not exist difficulty to find this type of job, since it is very poor remunerated and the displeasures can be a lot. Therefore there are not to many the people who want to work in this area and there is a lot of work which is necessary to do.

In spite of the difficulties that is possible to find in this area, it is good to feel that you can contribute to the improvement of education in your country.

Does current education kill the human creativity?

Hello everybody,

Today I have seen the video of Mr. Robinson’s conference and it is very interesting to me that issues like creativity and education are on the table everywhere around the world, as well as I discuss with my friends or in the faculty. This always has been a topic in my group, even more, many of my university mates have decided to remain in the art level, in other words, they are revealed against the system, enough late, but it is better late than never and therefore now they are musician, ballerinas, jugglers, trapeze artists and clowns among others.
He initiates his conference with three topics and they are the same with which he concludes. But at the beginning, he said that the human creativity is easy to demonstrate in the children and in the previous speaker in this conference and also he mentions that the future is uncertain, but that we are educating for that moment. Therefore it is necessary to appreciate the extraordinary capacity that the children have to innovate.
At the end of the conference he goes back to those arguments, but he raises them as a topic of which is necessary to take care and that we must change the form that we educate. He explain that not only we must promote the academic capacity, but also a way of developing an integral education, where we don’t kill the creativity and they could face a future that we will not see, but they yes will and they must be prepared for that moment.

Educational Psychology is my favourite subject

Hello, everybody again



Today I’ll write about my favourite subject, educational psychology. The teachers who do this class are three and their names are: Jesus Redondo, Paulina Castro and Jorge Inzunza. They are an excellent team and they have often shown us different views of the reality of Chilean education. I am charmed with this subject because it has helped me to have a critical view of the precariousness of our educational system and I have learned to discuss and criticize in a constructive way, with a positive look in spite of the black of the educational prospect.
Another aspect that has been very relevant and interesting is that we have analyzed the visions of different actors involved in education: educational psychologists, scholar psychologists and teachers of municipal, subsidized and private schools.
In this area there are many interesting topics that lead us to build social conscience and try to participate with a granite of sand in changing and improving education, discussing about its unequal conditions.
Therefore, I have learned to have a critical vision and a creative discussion but for overcoat constructive.

Hi, everybody

Today I will talk about my future. I think it will be in my new house, with my children and my husband, I will read a good book of psychoanalysis in a winter evening, looking the rain through the window and drinking a warm milk near to the salamander.Professionally I would like to work in the poor communities with damaged children and also I have an office to attend my patients. This office will have an exquisite aroma, a big window for look the rain or the sunset. This office will have many toys, many pencils and sheets in order that the children feel comfortable.What I said previously this is my ideal future, but I believe is more probably that I will be working, forever studying, taking care my children and traveling with my family. But also I hope to continue dancing, having fun, taking for a walk with my husband and having good health.Also I have many wishes for my future, but It is unprintable in this academic space.
Oh, I would like to living in our new house in Padre Hurtado, Santiago, Chile with my family.

In my opinion, does not exist the a unique man or woman who is the best in my field, since I think that there is no one that give full or integral answers to every questions that the psychology has arised. If I had to mention someone actually will be very hard, nevertheless I might mention Horacio Foladori, Sigmund Freud, Melanie Klein, Enrique Pichon Riviere, D. W. Winnicott and if I had to choose only one, I would choose Pichon Riviere and who continue his labor inside the operative groups, specially the Argentineans who have achieved a good work in their country.
Enrique Pichon Riviere was a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, one of that introduced the psychoanalysis in Argentina and one of the founders of the Psychoanalytic Association Argentina. He created a social theory that interprets the individual as the resultant of their relation with external and internal objects. Finally he founded the School of Social Psychology
In my opinion the best thing that he did during his career was the "operative groups ". In the Hospicio de la Merced one of his first works was organize groups of nurses and to instruct them in the treatment of the patients; due to the mistreatment that they gave to patients was a great problem. In these circumstances he developed the technique “Operative Group ", " ... in these groups I was discussing with the nurses the different cases that existed, I try to give them a general view of the psychiatry. The learning of the nurses was surprising … They had great experience, but their difficulty was that they could not conceptualize; then this experience was not serving them for anything ... ". The conditions improved greatly.
Then this is the theory of Operative Group, which I admire particularly and It technique it seems admirable to me, I expect to have the ability to implement it.

My career, my future, my ilusions

Hello, today I’m writing about which is my interest to study psychology. I couldn’t to study before because I didn`t have money to study at university. This opportunity was my options to help people and I feel professionaly fulfilled.
My contribution to society will be in educational and clinical areas. In educational psychology my contribution will be to improve the education as much as possible and make everything under my scope to improve students’ conditions and their learning. In clinical psychology my contribution will be in treating psychotic children patients.
In my appreciation, I will need many psychologic tools like: techniques, theory, a good supervisor, help and support from my family and continuous analysis.
My favorite subject is clinical psychology and educational psychology, because they have good teachers and I would like so much work on these areas.
I hope that my formation will be the adequate to help people. The people are very important for me and I don’t want make mistakes when attending my patients. Also, I would like make meaningful contributions in the educational area, I want my contributions to be important, interesting, creative, efficient, innovation, and many others characteristics, guided toward a same objective: “Improve the education, the learning and see very happy children”.
There is much more to say, but due to the limited space, I leave here today.

A picture that makes me dream

This photo was taken by the Cuban Roberto Campos in March, 2009.
It is a sunset in an island of Cuba, located in the south western part of this country. This island was flogged by two hurricanes in the year 2008, but this was not a sufficient reason to decrease the tourism. The Cuban beaches are paradisiacal.

I am charmed with this photo for two reasons; one of them is because it is Cuba and is a country that I am anxious to know and the second reason is because I love the sunsets at the beach. They make me dream, feel deeply, think and imagine many beautiful things.

The sea is an inspiration source to many artists, but to photograph a sunset in Cuban beaches it must not be required no one special attribute, since they are beautiful for it self. If I was in a place like that, I could take the same photo or many others similar or even better.

I hope that you enjoy this photo like I do and you could understand what I feel when I see it

I found the link searching information about of Psychoanalysis in the web and my friendscould be interesting in this matter. This web site brings together a set of libraries of psychoanalysis texts.

I received many mails advising me about new libraries of psychoanalysis. Authors like Jacques Lacan, Melanie Klein, Sandor Ferenczi, and Donald Winnicott you can find in this link.

I visit this web site at least once a week. I attempt to visit it every day because the psychoanalysis is a very difficult matter and this required many comprehensive and reiterative readings.

I like this web site because not only treats about of Freud but also other authors psychoanalysts and always has innovations. Also these other authors have different lines of development of the psychoanalysis called post psychoanalysts.

My MP3 player

Today I will write about my mp3 player. This piece of technology is my favorite, because with my mp3 player I listen music when I go to bed, when study, when driving, etc. (in fact I'm listening right now). Also, I record the interesting classes.
Mp3 player is a device on which I can store music and voice to listening latter. About internal operation I have no idea, but only I know that uses one AAA battery
I took an on sale an both two, one for me and one for my daughter, that was two years ago for Christmas time.
During the summer I prepared with classic music because this music is special for to study, but I deleted all my preferred music, the heavy metal. I hope this was a good idea.
My life will be very bored without my mp3. I can't live without it, I can't live any more (:D, lot of laugh, lol).
